Our Library

Mary MacKillop Catholic College operates a Junior and Senior Library with the aim of preparing students in an information rich environment to be resourceful, reflective and responsible readers and users of information.

About the Library
Library personnel and resources support teachers in developing student literacy and information literacy (skills in locating, evaluating and effectively using information.)

The library collections provide access to a variety of resources, including junior fiction, fiction, non-fiction, AV books, graphic novels, readers, online resources and teacher reference.

Prep to Year 6 classes visit the Junior Library weekly to browse and borrow across the collections, with displays and promotions highlighting new resources and enduring favourites.

Both Library locations are open to students as a space where quiet reading, study, research and recreational activities occur.  Students are able to utilise their iPads and laptops to support their learning in both library locations.
